# Routing\_missing\_exception

I'm trying to delete using the query

**DELETE /title\_data/docs\_child/\_query**

It's throwing me an error

> "root\_cause": [  
> {  
> "type": "routing\_missing\_exception",  
> "reason": "routing is required for [title\_data]/[docs\_child]/[\_query]",  
> "index": "title\_data"

> ],  
> "type": "routing\_missing\_exception",  
> "reason": "routing is required for [title\_data]/[docs\_child]/[\_query]",  
> "index": "title\_data"  
> },  
> "status": 400  
> }

Can anyone help me how to delete if it is configured with parent-child relationship.

I tried deleting like this

> DELETE /title\_data/docs\_child/\_query  
> {  
> "query": {  
> "has\_parent": {  
> "type": "title\_parent",  
> "query": {  
> "match\_all": {  
> }  
> }  
> }  
> }  
> }

Eventhough i'm getting the same error as mentioned above.
