hello elasticsearchers ! been a while since i've been on the list. but anyway, glad to see es is getting stronger and stronger. anyway, i've downloaded the latest es ( 0.17.4 ). and i am trying to integrate with s3 so i followed the guide on this page : [http://www.elasticsearch.org/guide/reference/modules/gateway/s3.html](http://www.elasticsearch.org/guide/reference/modules/gateway/s3.html) but when i try to start es with the new configuration, I get the following error message : Initialization Failed ... - NoClassSettingsException[Failed to load class setting [gateway.type] with value [s3]] ClassNotFoundException[s3] i've tried to search the mailing list for this error message but doesn't come up. Anyone with any suggestions? Do i need to export something in order for es to run properly? thanks in advance... ---

Hello Ivan, Thank you so much! Simple but that was exactly it. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one caught out. And yes, time permitting for documentation committers, would be nice to have a one-liner on the s3 page. Updated the s3 page to reflect that the plugin needs to be installed.
