# S3 Snapshot Repository storage\_class settings: OneZone IA?

AWS have, for a while now, offered another storage class called OneZone Infrequent Access.

This doesn't appear to be an option on the S3 Repository `storage_class` settings.

Are there plans to make this option available? We really want to use it 😬

It looks like this [feature was requested](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/issues/30474) and marked as fixed, suggesting that `onezone_ia` has been a legal value for `storage_class` since 6.5.0. It doesn't seem to be documented, however. Can you try that and report back whether it works for you?

I checked, and `onezone_ia` is indeed already supported. I opened [https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/pull/46436](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/pull/46436) to fix the docs and tests in the light of this. Thanks for the report.
