Hi All,

I wish to be able to search on:
10 "
10 inches

etc where " is a synonym for inches.
I saw post : [Synonym analyzer issue in elastic search](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/synonym-analyzer-issue-in-elastic-search/194880)
but no reply.

I do not know what a good strategy for this is given double quote is a punctuation character and generally removed from the indexed content.

Is there a strategy for doing this, perhaps map " -\> some higher plane character and add a synonym for "inch", "inches" to that character.

This is for a store type search app, so searching this way is common.

all thoughts appreciated,
Dave
