# Selecting throttle period in the watcher UI

Hi.  
Is there an option to select throttle periods from the watcher UI?  
Or is manually adding the json field required?

It would be useful when creating actions:

For now you must manually add it to the JSON.

There are some plans to overhaul the watcher UI, but those are a ways off. I would suggest opening a request for enhancement in the Kibana Github repo.
