# Sending data from Logstash to Elasticsearch running on two different server

I have log files on one server and elastic on different.  
I want to use Logstash only not any beat for that.  
so mentioning elastic ip:port output in logstash.  
Is it possible to have logstash and Elasticsearch on different server?  
Do I need to add any other conf in logstash or Elasticsearch.

yes but make sure that you open your port on firewall.

you just need to provide input -\> filter(optional)-\>Output in logstash pipeline file.Thats it.
