# Set Custom Agent as Default in Agent Selection

Hi Elastic Team,

We have created a custom agent using **Elastic Agent Builder**.

Currently, when a user opens the Agent Builder chat, the **Agent Selection** is automatically set to **“Elastic AI Agent”**.

Our requirement is to make our **custom Agent Builder agent the default selected agent** , so that whenever a user opens the chat, our custom agent is automatically selected instead of the Elastic AI Agent.

Could you please confirm if we can make our custom built only available to users to use and make it as default for the chat window.

Hi @venkatkumar229. As of now, no, there is no way to change the default agent. The [Elastic AI agent](https://www.elastic.co/docs/explore-analyze/ai-features/agent-builder/builtin-agents-reference) is the default.
