# Set Default Selection for Control visualization

Guys,
Help me to know, how to set default value selected for Controls visualization filter on a dashboard
Please find below screen shot.. By default when I open dashboard, it is showing values for all the time. But I want it to be showed for any of the default value(default value selected).
I appreciate your suggestion.

Hey @nareshnakka, welcome to our community
If you select one value on from the dropdown and then you save the dashboard, it will be saved with that selection in place. The next time you open the dashboard that field will be populated with that selection.
Does that solve your request? If not can you please specify your use case a bit more?
