In the kibana time range settings you can set different ranges

from the documentation

> Choose one of the following:

> Quick select to use a recent time range, then use the back and forward arrows to move through the time ranges.

> Commonly used to use a time range from options such as Last 15 minutes, Today, and Week to date.

> Recently used date ranges to use a previously selected data range that you recently used.

> Refresh every to specify an automatic refresh rate.

> To set the start and end times, click the bar next to the time filter. In the popup, select Absolute, Relative or Now, then specify the required options.

The thing is when I do this, it seems to be not correctly described what you can do, it seems more like I can select the start date but the end date is always right now.

So I would like to know if I want to select documents from 4 months ago to 1 month ago how do I do that?

Hi @bryan_rasmussen,

It's been a while since your last post, welcome back!

What version of Kibana are you using? I am using the current version 7.6.1 and I was able to do the following:
