# Set fielddata=true on \[event.dataset\]

Hello,

We are using the ELK Stack 7.3.1.  
Since a few days when I try to enter "Stack Monitoring" within Kibana I get the following error message:

`[illegal_argument_exception] Fielddata is disabled on text fields by default. Set fielddata=true on [event.dataset] in order to load fielddata in memory by uninverting the inverted index. Note that this can however use significant memory. Alternatively use a keyword field instead.: Check the Elasticsearch Monitoring cluster network connection or the load level of the nodes.`

And the "display" keeps blank.  
When I change the URL (because the browser knows and suggests the URL) to [http://server:5601/app/monitoring#/elasticsearch/nodes?\_g=(cluster\_uuid:'-\_u6G2UAT\_qNx45Du-tKUA')](http://server:5601/app/monitoring#/elasticsearch/nodes?_g=(cluster_uuid:'-_u6G2UAT_qNx45Du-tKUA'))  
I can have a look at the nodes & indices.

I already restartet Kibana, deleted the .kibana index - except that I lost some configuration within Kibana nothing positiv in terms of solution happend.

Can you please give me a hint what could be wrong.
