# Settin up the DOTNET\_STARTUP\_HOOKS

Hello,

set DOTNET\_STARTUP\_HOOKS=[pathToAgent]\ElasticApmAgentStartupHook.dllI

I use tis to set up .NET core.

How do I configure this further? I see nothing in the documentation,

Hi @Henk_Stobbe ,

in this mode the agent will read config settings from environment variables. You can find the specific environment variable names in the docs - e.g. for [`ServerUrls](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/apm/agent/dotnet/current/config-reporter.html#config-server-url) you can see it under "Environment variable name" - same applies to all other settings.
