# Setup development envinroment for Kibana 6.5.4

Hi guys,  
I would setup the dev environment for Kibana 6.5.4. I had followed the guide [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#development-environment-setup](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#development-environment-setup)

and for the master version 7.0.0 it's all ok.. But if I try to configure the dev for Kibana 6.5.4 using the same line guides kibana it running but when I try to access to it the browser display me this message: Kibana did not load properly. Check the server output for more information.

Why?

Can you please share the log of your `yarn start` what it writes there? are you sure you've did a proper `yarn kbn bootstrap` after changing branches? And that you run against a 6.5.4 Elasticsearch instance?
