Hi,

I need to perform the sha512 checksum for my elastic tar files in our Linux servers.

The article I have referred:

> **[SHA-512 checksums for Elastic Stack artifacts
	  	 | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/blog/sha512-checksums-for-elastic-stack-artifacts)**
>
> Elastic now provide SHA-512 checksum files for all Elastic Stack released artifacts since 5.6.2. No more SHA-1 checksum files will be produced starting with 6.0.0.

The curl commands in this article require a internet connection to perform the checksum. But, there is an issue that I cannot connect to the internet in these servers so could someone suggest an alternative to performing this sha512 checksum without internet?

Thanks!

The `curl` is to _download_ the checksum that was already generated from our side. You need that so you can compare it with the checksum generated from your server.

I am not really sure what you are asking here.

You'll need to download the sha files from our website to your network, then transfer them to the hosts with no internet connectivity somehow,

Thank you @thiago and @warkolm for your input. We were able to figure out the solution for this.
