Hi there

I would like to know if I can create a user in shield to access to one path, with an index based in timestamp.

For example: a user to access only this document var/log/test.log to get all about the test.log.

Waiting for your comments.

Hi Jose,

Yes, Shield provides flexible role-based access control configurations, so you could easily create a role that only grants access to a specific API. It also supports document-level security, so you could specify a query that limits which documents in a given index will be visible.

If you are running version 5.0 of the stack, you can read more about it here: [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/x-pack/current/xpack-security.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/x-pack/current/xpack-security.html)

If you are running earlier versions, you can find the docs here: [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/shield/current/index.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/shield/current/index.html)

Thanks,
Steve
