# Size is increasing after using shrink API

below is the state of earthquake index  
yellow open earthquake VvP3SezoTGyFjSC8M4ufjQ 5 1 8313 0 8.8mb 8.8mb

i ran shrink API on this with index.codec: best compression and the result is below

yellow open earthquake\_shrink 3Mzv12qXR6iGfy6\_YFPbGg 1 1 8313 0 12.1mb 12.1mb

anyone please help me in understanding this
