# Slack no longer supports IRC - Best new way to architect integration with Elastic stack?

Since Slack no longer supports IRC, the best tutorials regarding Slack and Elastic integration that I found online are kind of obsolete (this article, for example: [https://qbox.io/blog/integrate-slack-elasticsearch-logstash-kibana-elk](https://qbox.io/blog/integrate-slack-elasticsearch-logstash-kibana-elk)).

Based on my initial research, the best method now would be to use Slack's webhooks. Just want to confirm that this really is the best method?
