# Snapshot Restore times out thogh specified wait\_for\_completion

I am using following command to restore indices from a snapshot taken on  
cluster to another (which was successfully completed). However the  
following command fails within 30s though specified wait\_for\_completion. Is  
there another parameter that needs to be specified or some configuration  
setting ? Snapshot is about 10GB.

curl -XPOST "localhost:9200/_snapshot/backup/snapshot\_1/restore?  
 wait\_for\_completion=true&pretty" -d '{  
"indices": "alpha\_apps,alpha\_tags,alpha",  
"ignore\_unavailable": "true",  
"include\_global\_state": false,  
"rename\_pattern": "index(.+)",  
"rename\_replacement": "restored\_index_$1" }'  
{  
"_error" : "ProcessClusterEventTimeoutException[failed to process cluster  
event (restore\_snapshot[snapshot\_1]) within 30s]_",  
"status" : 503  
}
