# \[Solved\] Canno't see geoip.location in visualization

Hello,

I have found a lot of topics about this problem but i didn't find any solution.

Logstash add geoip data with this :

```
geoip {
  add_tag => ["GeoIP"]
  source => "src_ip"
}

```

Kibana mappings show it as a geo\_point

But i cannot access to geoip.location when i want to create a map in visualization.  
It's not showed in the list of fields.

Does anyone have any idea to solve my problem ?

Hi @Sylvaner,

thanks for your question. Could you post the mapping of your index here? Knowing how exactly the data looks will make it easier to direct you to a solution. You can retrieve the mapping by going into the dev tools and querying `GET /<YOUR INDEX NAME>/_mapping`.

`geoip.location` is indexed as a geo point, which can be visualized using the "Coordinate map" visualization. Maybe you picked the "Region map" instead?
