# \_source is stored in elasticsearch?

Hi.

We are currently checking the capabilities of our cluster, and we noticed that when consult the information in Kibana discover, a json document contains both a "\_source" with all the fields and a separate field called "fields" (Wich contains all the data that we previusly saw in \_source).

We would like to know if this means we are storing twice the information, because we currently have another cluster were we consult the same information but this time, only the field "fields" is present in the discover JSON doc.

In both cases the \_source is enabled.
