# Splitting different usages in clusters?

We have multiple apps indexing their own data. We're setting up our new server and are thinking of optimizing our configurations.

When does it make sense to have different clusters for the different apps? What are the benefits?  
One app is the write and read heaviest. The others would need way less resources. Is there even a better way to optimize things. Or is this worth the hustle?
