# Stop Words in App Search

Continuing the discussion from [Tokenizers, stop words and query analysis in App Search](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/tokenizers-stop-words-and-query-analysis-in-app-search/218066/2):

I understand from above thread that Stop words can not be customized in App Search. Is there a list of Stop Words pre-configured in App Search.

The stop words we use depends on the language you have configured for your engine when you created it.
