# Strategy for automatically importing a kibana backup JSON file

I have an instance of elastic + kibana in version 7.13.1 with docker compose, I have some kibana backup files with some dashboards, and I was wondering if there is a strategy to automatically import these backups when I up my docker containers.

Hi and welcome to our community!

By backup files, do you mean you have file containing exported `saved objects` of Kibana? Then you could restore those using our Import objects API

Or do you have an other kind of backup?
