# Support for Encryption of Keystore passwords

Hi All,
I am curious about knowing if there is any support available for adding Encrypted passwords for the SSL keystores and truststores in Logstash and Elastic Search in the configuration files . For Compliance point of view I cannot store passwords in plain text for keystores in Configs.

Not currently, no.
I'd encourage you to raise something at [https://github.com/logstash-plugins/logstash-output-elasticsearch/issues](https://github.com/logstash-plugins/logstash-output-elasticsearch/issues) though, to get the conversation started.
