# Support of IAM for Elasticsearch Input plugin

Do we have support for passing IAM credentials for logstash using Elasticsearch input plugin?

Hello @vijayalakshmi_chanum , welcome to the community !  
All the Elastic stack components do support IAM credentials (user or role), please refer for example: [Cloudwatch input plugin | Logstash Reference [master] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/master/plugins-inputs-cloudwatch.html)
