# Switching data paths

So I will be copying my data from one disk to another and pointing ES to the new disk. Do I just follow the same rolling upgrade process?

That should work, yes. Make sure you have a backup though!

Yes! I confirm it works! Just copying the data over so the other disk is still around for now.
