# System process informamtion logged wrong?

The [docu](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/metricbeat/current/exported-fields-system.html) says that process name is exported under the field **`system.process.name`**

But in the metricbeat index it under process.name

I am running on V 7.6.2

hi @suikast42,

the `process.name` is a metricbeat ecs field [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/metricbeat/current/exported-fields-ecs.html#\_process\_2](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/beats/metricbeat/current/exported-fields-ecs.html#_process_2), so this was re-mapped sometime before 7.6. The documentation has not been updated so feel free to create a issue in the beats repo on updating the necessary docs.
