Hi

I'm trying to take a snapshot of my 7 node 6.8.13 cluster. Is it the case that I must have some sort of network share such as NFS to achieve this, or is there a method which does not require a network share?

Thanks

There are plugins that let you take a snapshot to a number of cloud services, for example [AWS S3](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/plugins/7.9/repository-s3.html).

You can also use the `repository-s3` plugin along with [your own S3-compatible service](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/plugins/7.9/repository-s3-client.html#repository-s3-compatible-services) such as Minio.
