# Taking Logstash input from Excel(.xlsx) file

Hi,

I am using ELK 5.5.0.

Could anyone please help on how can we take input to Logstash(5.5.0) from an EXCEL file.

You need to convert it into a CSV first.

Then just treat it like any other CSV file.
