# Tick interval

Y axis tick interval is set by [default.Is](http://default.Is) there a way to specify the y axis tick marks of custom interval(1hr,2hr)

Hi,

could you please go a bit more into detail on what configuration/aggregations you are drawing on the y-axis. In general when you use a "Date histogram" aggregation, you can configure the actual interval:

Instead of leaving it at **Auto** you could set it to a fixed interval of hours or "Custom" and enter `2h`.

I will be plotting time of format HH:mm along y axis and the ticks are set by default.I need those ticks to be of user specified intervals

Date Histogram is available only under x axis aggregation.
