Hi:

If I use a single node and single shard to save time series data
(timetamp is either doc id or a field like timestamp),
Is there setting in ES that I do not have to use sorting
when I do range retrieval to ensure the response is
always in time order. In Cassandra, the order can be guranteed
without separate sorting. This is for performance concern that
sorting large data could be time consuming and since we know
it is time series data appended in order, there maybe option for ES
to keep that order and return accordingly.

Thanks
