# Timestamp format change

Hello,

I have a field called timestamp\_event in my index.. Currently it is in the format  
eg : 2017-11-14T02:38:48.301Z.

I want to reindex and change the format to 14-Nov-2017 0:00:00 .

How can we do it? can any one help?

May I ask why you want to do that?

Do you mean that the source document has a different format or is it for displaying reason ?
