# Too many open files while running logstash

not able to post the data to elastic search. It is error out with too many open files.  
Please help to find the issue

The logs

"type"=\>"exception", "reason"=\>"failed to sync translog", "caused\_by"=\>{"type"=\>"file\_system\_exception", "reason"=\>"file\_system\_exception: /app/elk/elasticdata/application/nodes/0/indices/indexname-2017-03-16/0/translog/translog.ckp: Too many open files"}
