Hello

We're migrating ES 1.7 to ES 5 but somehow index size of ES 5 is bigger than 1.7 by more than 10 times.

Lucene tim file sizes mostly take up the space and I followed all advices from [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/5.2/tune-for-disk-usage.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/5.2/tune-for-disk-usage.html) but nothing worked.

Do you have any idea?

Thank you

What is your mapping?

I found a culprit, geo\_shape is extracting a lot of terms 🙂
