# Top hit field calrification

When i select the top hit metric, It is asking two fields first one is to get the metric value and second one is for sort ?
I am using 7.5 version, there is not exclusive sort field in this version. i can see in ilder version two field options and one sort option. can some one clarify how top hit works.
my use case is, for each uniqueId we get the updates every 2 mins. we always want to display the latest record in datatable with all the fields.
I am doing i am taking terms aggrgation based on uniquid and for each field doing tophit metric aggrgation.
Is this approach is correct ?
