# Troubleshooting Unopen Port Issue On Windows 2012

Hi I'm looking for some troubleshooting suggestions to a problem that I can't figure out. I have a problem where no ports are opening after adding them to my config file on Logstash. The ports for Kabana and Elasticsearch are open and working it seems to be only Logstash. I've disabled the firewall security to see if that works and nothing. Any suggestions on possible blocking factors?

Bump up Logstash's log level so that you can inspect the configuration it's actually reading. The Logstash logs obviously shouldn't contain any errors either.

The Logstash command line documentation describes how to increase the log level. Alternatively, the settings file reference tells you how to do it by modifying logstash.yml.
