# Two-Node cluster, switch master node

I have an old R710 that I've used as a server for a long time. It's pretty weak and performance is slow. Now I have a second new server that I added as purely a data-node which is appox 10x stronger. I'd like to switch these two around but without a 3rd node I can't seem to find a way to change the master node around.
Any thoughts on how to do this?

You need to shutdown the current master, there's no other way to do this in an Elasticsearch cluster.
