# Ubuntu 26.04 LTS Support Timeline — Open Source Elasticsearch 8.19.19

2 years ago there was at least one similar thread about 24.04, see [here](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/ubuntu-24-04-support/362337)

I think there was also one about RHEL 10 shortly after that was released.

I don't think you can really expect any different now. Until it appears on the support matrix, it's not on the support matrix, and I think it unlikely someone will give a commitment to add anything there by any specific date.

None that I know, and I follow this forum pretty closely. But of course Elastic staff and other contributors may know more.
