# Unable to fetch latest event using Elastic search REST API

Hi

I am unable to get latest events for error-logs using Elastic search REST API. I can see the latest events in Kibana dashboard but whenever try to fetch events from Elastic search REST API it shows older events. Please help.

OS- Redhat 7.6  
Elastic/Logstash/Kibana: 7.4.0

If there is any more information needed, please ask.
