# Unable to fetch mapping Kibana

I have a index named consumer\_tag\_store. I tried entering the index name in the textbox of Kibana.

It throws the below given error

Index Patterns: Please specify a default index pattern

Guys what does this above given error mean. What should I add inorder to get the index

Kindly help me out

What text box? Could you provide a screen shot?

Index patterns are added under `Management` -\> `Index Patterns`. On this page, clicke `Create index pattern`
