Hello,

Recently started working with the stack. i am running the most recent versions of ELK. When I try to get Kibana running it gives me this prompt

> [root@as-linuxdev bin]# sudo /opt/ELK/vendor/kibanafiles/bin/kibana
> which: no node in (/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin)
> unable to find usable node.js executable.
> [root@as-linuxdev bin]# ls
> kibana kibana-plugin

I am unsure as to why I am getting this error because kibana is an executable.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Hmm, just so I understand, where did you download Kibana from? Did you download Kibana 5.4.1 from our [download page](https://www.elastic.co/downloads/kibana)?

Thanks,
CJ

When you downloaded the `.tar.gz` file and unzipped it, did you rename the unzipped directory to "kibanafiles"? Just double-checking. I want to make sure we establish that this is the same directory that we're distributing. 🙂

Thanks,
CJ

Yes, I downloaded the .tag.gz file, unzipped it and renamed the unzipped directory kibanafiles. I actually fixed this problem. I downloaded the .rpm file and installed it that way. I am thinking that the files weren't placed in the right locations for the .tar.gz file install
