# Unable to match index

hi all, we have a problem with Elasticsearch installed locally on our windows 10 build laptops in that when we import data then try and add the first default index it shows the index name of the imported data - for example 'incident' and shows the imported data - but when we try and create the index and enter 'incident\*' it never recognises the index so we can never click next to move on. this is using ES and Kibana v6.4 and happens regardless of the index name chosen.
