# Unable to reset the elastic and kibana user password

I think this might actually be [CLI tools extending BaseRunAsSuperuserCommand should only connect to the local node · Issue #80481 · elastic/elasticsearch · GitHub](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/issues/80481), @manish6.rai can you  
try with ` /usr/share/kibana/bin/elasticsearch-reset-password -i -u elastic --url http://10.142.124.155:9200`
