Here is my exact error:
[2019-03-15T10:09:50,524][ERROR][logstash.licensechecker.licensemanager] Unable to retrieve license information from license server {:message=\>"Elasticsearch Unreachable: [[http://logstash\_system:xxxxxx@localhost:9200/](http://logstash_system:xxxxxx@localhost:9200/)][Manticore::SocketException] Connection refused (Connection refused)", :class=\>"LogStash::Outputs::ElasticSearch::HttpClient::Pool::HostUnreachableError"}

I've read in other posts that you should turn off x-pack monitoring but my logstash.yml looks like it's turning it off. Any other ideas?

# --------------X-Pack Settings -------------

#xpack.monitoring.elasticsearch.password: "password"
#xpack.monitoring.enabled: false
