I am using Elasticsearch and Kibana 7.17 free and basic version. I am trying to setting up the minimal security. I did all of the following steps mentioned in the following document : > **[Set up minimal security for Elasticsearch | Elasticsearch Guide \[7.17\] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/7.17/security-minimal-setup.html)** I saw multiple solutions in which they ask to add user and password but for me none of them is working. Please don't post pictures of text, logs or code. They are difficult to read, impossible to search and replicate (if it's code), and some people may not be even able to see them 🙂 ---

Yes, With Curl it was working, the issue was I saved the password in keystore, It had space in the end maybe that's why it was not been able to authenticate it. I Removed the password from there and add it in .yml and it is working fine now. Thanks for all your help. ---
