# Unable to view Filebeat index in Kibana

Hi,

I configured filebeat and winlogbeat on my windows VM. I am able to see winlogbeat and i cant see filebeat. Please suggest on this. Below are the details.

Elasticsearch version : 6.3.2  
Logstash version : 6.3.2  
Kibana version : 6.3.2  
winlogbeat version : 6.3.2  
Filebeat version : 6.3.2

Hi,

I just tried to add filebeat Manually from Management -\> under Kibana : Index patterns -\> create new index pattern . but i am unable to see any logs there.

I can see filebeat updates in the below location and tried to update the same in filebeat configuration also.

paths:  
#- /var/log/\*.log  
#- c:\programdata\elasticsearch\logs\*  
-c:\programData\filebeat\logs

I tried restarting ES,Logstash,Kibana & filebeat services after configuring the above but no update on kibana.

Please format your configuration using `</>` and share debug logs of Filebeat.
