When I upload data to ES, kibana is displaying it as item and item.keyword

Any autocomplete is also not working.

Hello,

If you don't set the mapping in elasticsearch explicitly - then es does it for you.
This is how it sets the keyword mapping:
[https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/dynamic-mapping.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/dynamic-mapping.html)
Kibana is just pulling that data out of json and displaying the fields here.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Bhavya
