# Unit elasticsearch.service entered failed state

we have installed Elasticsearch, kibana and Logstash in redhat server. All are 6.2 version. It is almost 3 months over. Now we are facing some issue that elasticsearch is going to failed state as below.

● elasticsearch.service - Elasticsearch  
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/elasticsearch.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)  
Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Mon 2018-06-11 09:02:42 CDT; 48s ago  
Docs: [http://www.elastic.co](http://www.elastic.co)  
Process: 5916 ExecStart=/usr/share/elasticsearch/bin/elasticsearch -p ${PID\_DIR}/elasticsearch.pid --quiet (code=exited, status=78)

Jun 11 09:02:18 SPLAWSDOPS03 systemd[1]: Started Elasticsearch.

Jun 11 09:02:42 SPLAWSDOPS03 systemd[1]: Unit elasticsearch.service entered failed state.  
Jun 11 09:02:42 SPLAWSDOPS03 systemd[1]: elasticsearch.service failed.

Can someone help me to resolve this issue.
