Every time I see mb (milli-bit) instead of MB (mega-byte) in a printout I
wonder why. Is there any particular reason for using the abbreviations that
are used? Most of the time it isn't a problem as mb aren't all that common
but it is a possible value for data transfers.

/Michael

Here is a recent entry in my log: updating
[indices.recovery.max\_bytes\_per\_sec] from [20mb] to [250mb]
You can also see it throughout the guide
e.g. [Elasticsearch Platform — Find real-time answers at scale | Elastic](http://www.elasticsearch.org/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/index-modules-translog.html)
