I was trying to customize the jdbc plugin and add a new config field of "jdbc\_user\_id". But after I installed the plugin onto logstash, logstash failed to start with error:
[logstash.inputs.jdbc] Unknown setting 'jdbc\_user\_id' for jdbc

I've added the jdbc\_user\_id in the code as:
config :jdbc\_user\_id, :validate =\> :string

Any ideas?
