# Update Parent file with Child file field

Hi,

**I have a parent file:**  
ID - 123  
Name - ABA  
BTT - 000  
BA -  
LOC -  
File\_ref -

**I have a child file:**  
ID - 999  
Name - ABA  
BTT - 000  
BA - BA1  
LOC - confdez  
File\_ref - 123

How can i update the parent with the missing BA & LOC fields?

The child is linked to the parent by the File\_ref.

Where can this be updated & if so what filters can be used.
